When are the Ontario Games held?
Ontario Summer and Winter Games (youth), are held every two years, in the even year (2008, 2010).
Winter are usually in March and Summer in August
Ontario ParaSport Summer Games are held every year, in June or July
Ontario Senior Games - Actifest/Winterfest are held every two years, Actifest in even years (2008) and Winterfest in odd years (2009). Actifest are summer games held in August and Winterfest are winter games held in February.
Where are the Ontario Games held?
The Ontario Games Program tries to spread the games out across the Province. Communities are selected on a competitive bid process. To see where the next games will be held, click HERE. Who participates in the Ontario Games?
Ontario Games for the youth are for ages 13 - 22. Athletes are selected by a qualifying process established by the respective provincial sport association. For a list of participating sport associations and websites, click HERE.
ParaSport Games are for athletes with a physical disability. For more information about Paralympics Ontario and athlete eligibility, please check the Paralympics Ontario Website HERE.
Ontario Senior Games are for participants age 55 plus. There are districts across Ontario that organize local events and qualifying competitions in order for participants to advance to the Provincials. For more information about the Ontario Senior Games Association, click HERE.
