2007 ONTARIO SPORT AWARD RECIPIENTS

On Thursday, April 24, 2007, the Sport Alliance of Ontario and the Ministry of Health Promotion had the privilege of honouring this past year's Ontario Sport Award recipients at the Granite Club in Toronto.  Eight categories of awards were presented to outstanding athletes, teams, coaches and volunteers for 2007.   Following is a list of the awards and the award recipients.

Sarnia-Lambton played host to over 250 athletes, coaches and officials in six different sports on June 22-23 for the 2007 Ontario Para Provincial Summer Championship.  Congratulations to all the athletes for two great days of competition.  Thank you to the Host Organizing Committee, Paralympics Ontario, Coaches, Officials and Volunteers for all their work in making this event a big success.  For full results please visit the

Ontario Wins Canada Games!!  

 

Team Ontario wins the Canada Games Flag!  The coveted Canada Games Flag, which is awarded to the province with greatest number of Canada Games Flag points, was presented to Team Ontario during the closing ceremonies on March 10th.  Earlier in the day, the Mission staff were recognized with the Claude Hardy award.  For more information about these awards, visit the Canada Games Council website.
