The Sport Alliance of Ontario, having resided at 1185 Eglinton Ave. E. since the fall of 1994, will be moving to a new facility on September 26, 27, 28 & 29/08. Our new address will be 3 Concorde Gate, Toronto, Ontario, M3C 3N7. It should be noted that some organizations will be relocating to either 1 Concorde Gate, Toronto, Ontario, M3C 3N6 or 12 Concorde Place, Toronto, Ontario, M3C 3R8.

Each month Doug Rosser, Chair - SAO Building Future Committee, will provide you with an up-to-date progress report regarding space allocation, moving details and other key issues pertaining to the relocation to our new facility.

How thick are the walls and are they sound proof?
|
4" thick - floor to ceiling - standard wall - with insulation.

Does the building code regulate the number of stalls per floor per person?
|
Yes - this building does meet code - based on occupancy.

Will the SAO moving company move our photocopiers?
|
No - you must make arrangements to move your own copiers.

When is there going to be another tour for those who didn't get a chance the 1st time?

What are the dimensions of the storage cages in the basement?

No - for cost reasons we will buy in bulk. Everyone will have the same colour carpet.

The SAO will build status quo; i.e. if you currently have 4 offices we will build you 4.

Is there a loading dock for 3 Concorde Gate - is there an underground passage way from 1 Concorde to 3 Concorde?

Yes there is a self raising loading dock at 1 Concorde Gate. There is no underground passage way between buildings.

Move date - how flexible is the June 1st deadline - I can't move until July or Aug. - can you accommodate?
|
Move date is set for July 4, 5, 6 & 7.

If they move to the 6th floor, can SAO provide a mail pick-up/delivery service 2x a day for the other building/tenants?
|
Yes - one run per day. More info. to follow once we've moved.

Can a storage/work area be built near the mailroom that all PSO's can have access to use?
|
Sorry - no room.

What is the plan for the money in the "Parking Fund"? Can this money be divvied-up for those who paid into the fund?

|
$2.00 - first half hour or maximum daily rate of $9.50

Can we consider having a building "Garage Sale" where we invite surrounding buildings; place an ad in the North Talk Mirror and call CFRB to advertise the "Sale" date.

| What is the ceiling height at the new facility? | 1st floor is 132 1/2 inches from the floor to the T-bar. 2nd and 3rd floors are 105 inches from the floor to the T-bar or 133 inches to the top of the slab. |
| Will blinds be supplied for the windows in the new building or is each tenant responsible for their own? | Yes, the perimeter windows will all have blinds. |
| What are the possibilities for free visitor parking on evenings/weekends? | There is little we can do about the weekend/evening parking fee. This area falls under the landlord's jurisdiction. Once we are established in the building we can ask the landlord if they would consider changing the weekend/evening rates to accommodate the volunteers using our boardrooms. We cannot make any promises but will pose the question. |
| Can Real Facilities supply us with new/used furniture? If so, can we see pictures of some of the furniture available? Can we only get workstations? Can you give us a good deal on desks, chairs, reception desks, etc.? What are the costs? Is there a website? When will we have more information on new/used furniture? Will Real Facilities buy back used furniture? Can they come into the building, visit each organization, and provide us with individual quotes to purchase their unwanted furniture? |

| Will we be able to have side panel windows like we have now? What about glass doors? - just to give more light to the interior common space and awareness of what is going on. |
Yes to sidelights - SAO will pay for these. Glass doors - sure - the cost will be borne by the association (very expensive). |
| Will the new building have bike racks? | Yes the new building does have bike racks. They are currently in the parking garage at the exit gates, but they will be relocating them next month to another area. They haven’t confirmed the new location yet, but they will let us know when we move in. |

Where will the wall jacks be located?
|
They will be 18” above the finished floor unless otherwise indicated. If the associations want something different, please let Lore know - Ext. 7174.
