SARNIA LAMBTON ANNOUNCED AS HOST OF 2007 ONTARIO PARALYMPIC SUMMER SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ministry of Health Promotion, The Sport Alliance of Ontario and Paralympics Ontario are pleased to announce Sarnia-Lambton as the host community for the 2007 Ontario Paralympic Summer Sport Championships. The energy, enthusiasm and experience in the community for hosting these Championships is outstanding and we look forward to seeing this event unfold to be a successful experience for the athletes.
On September 5th, a Press Conference was held in Sarnia Lambton. Minister DiCocco was in attendance to make the official announcement, on behalf of Minister Watson. Thanks to all of the press and community members that were in attendance to show their support. Also, thank you to Josh VanderVies, Paralympian, for sharing how this experience will benefit Paralympic athletes and their dreams for athletic excellence.
