Ontario Summer & Winter Games
The Ontario Summer & Winter Games are the largest multi-sport Games in Ontario for amateur athletes. It brings together the top Provincial Athletes from all regions of Ontario to compete in a high calibre competition.
Up to 3,500 participants, including athletes, coaches, managers and officials take part in the Ontario Summer & Winter Games. Both Summer and Winter Games consist of 3 days of sport competition with Opening Ceremonies held on the day prior to competition. The Games are awarded through a formal bidding process and are held on even years. These Games are supported by over 1000 volunteersthat join in the celebration of sport to make the games a success.
Host communities typically work with a budget of $1.4 million to execute these games and receive a $600,000 hosting grant from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Some of our most recent host communities have been:
