Ontario 55+ Summer and Winter Games

The Ontario 55+ Summer and Winter Games, formerly known as the Ontario Senior Games, are a celebration of active living uniting participants 55 and older in a multi-sport environment. Alternating yearly, both the summer and winter games showcase a variety of sports and activities while bringing communities together through the promotion of healthy living for all.

The Ontario 55+ Games are 2 days of competition that over 1000 participants, including athletes coaches and officials take part in. Over 300 volunteers help to make these games a success every year. Host communities execute the Ontario 55+ Games on a budget of approximately $500 000 and receive partnership funding from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport worth $150 000 for the 55+ Summer Games and $200 000 for the 55+ Winter Games.

The City of Brampton is the host for the 2012 Ontario 55+ Summer Games in August 2012.

The Town of Huntsville is the host for the 2013 Ontario 55+ Winter Games in February 2013.
